M&s Pauses Online Orders Following Cyber Attack

Marks & Spencer (M&S) says it has stopped taking online orders arsenic nan institution struggles to retrieve from a cyber attack.

Customers began reporting problems past weekend, and connected Tuesday nan retailer confirmed it was facing a "cyber incident".

It told nan BBC connected Wednesday customer-facing systems were backmost to normal, but immoderate systems remained offline.

Now nan patient has wholly paused orders connected its website and apps.

"We are genuinely sorry for this inconvenience," it wrote in a station connected X.

"Our knowledgeable squad - supported by starring cyber experts - is moving highly difficult to restart online and app shopping.

"We are incredibly grateful to our customers, colleagues and partners for their knowing and support."

It said its stores stay unfastened contempt nan issues affecting online ordering.

M&S said connected Tuesday it had reported nan incident to nan National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).

The National Crime Agency previously told nan BBC its officers are moving pinch nan NCSC to support nan firm.
